I am someone who really love about movies. When i have free time, i frequently spent my time by watching some movies. I love all kind of genre of movies. The only kind of movie i don’t like is a movie with much sadistic scenes in the movie (full of blood and some brutal, sadistic violence). Besides for relaxing and entertaining, movies can give as some inspiration and motivation for our personal life. Some movies also teach some moral lessons inside. And most of these kind of movies enlisted as my favorite movies.

Soul Surfer is a film about the life of surfer Bethany Hamilton. At the age of thirteen, Hamilton lost her arm to a shark attack. The film details the events surrounding this attack and her struggle during the aftermath. The film is based on Hamilton’s 2004 biographical book. It’s very inspiring and motivating movie.

It’s a story about a young boy Trevor McKinney (Haley Joel Osment) that have an idea that could change the world. He is seventh grade class boy. He plan to do good deeds for three people who then do the same thing (do kindness) to three other people. The nine people that receive kindness must also do the same thing. And so on. This is similar to a story i ever read when i still i child. If this successful, then the result will be impact the world. The world can be a better place to live. Trevor’s attempts to get the ball rolling is help a junkie (James Caviezel) and trying to set up his recovering-alcoholic mother (Helen Hunt) with his burn-victim teacher (Kevin Spacey), who posed the assignment.

Inspirational True Story of Homer H. Hickam Jr, Son of Mine Coal Miner who become NASA engineer

This movie is created based on the memoir of Homer H. Hickam Jr. (Rocket Boys). The film tell a story of Hickam (Jake Gyllenhaal), a son of stubborn Coal Miner (chris Cooper). The story set in 1957 dring Russia’s historic launch of the Sputnik satellite. Homer is very fascinated with rocketry. His father that work in Virginia coal miner hopes that his son can replace his role in the future. So his father doesn’t like Homer’s hobby about rocketry. But Homer didn’t give up to pursue his dream. This make the story more inspiring. Inspired by his school teacher (Laura Dern), Homer start to build a amateur rocket with his friends. October Sky is a family film for the ages, encouraging the highest potential of the human spirit while giving viewers a clear view of a bygone era when “the final frontier” beckoned to the explorer in all of us.

An Indian movies tell about story of three college student who share room in a hostel at their campus. Each student have different family background. Farhan is studying engineering to pursue his father’s wishes over his own wish (to become a wildlife photographer). Raju is studying to raise his family’s fortunes while Rancho, driven by his passion for machines and devices, studies for joy of it. However, due to this different approach Rancho incurs the wrath of dean of college. The film very inspiring and contain a lot of moral lesson about love, honor, attitude and friendship. This film broke all opening box office records in India. It was the highest-grossing film in its opening weekend in India and has the highest opening day collections for a Bollywood film.

The film also suggests that there has been a strong tendency by those in positions of power to keep this central principle hidden from the publicIt states that everything you need may be accomplished by only wishing it. Distributed through DVD, and online, the film has attracted interest from media figures such as Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, and Larry King as well as criticism from the mainstream press.

Parker is instantly captivated by the dog and when Carl, the station controller, refuses to take him, Parker takes the puppy home overnight. His wife Cate (Joan Allen) is insistent about not keeping the puppy.

He is bombarded by obstacles like his medical equipment being stolen by street performers, a night’s stay in jail for unpaid parking tickets, and a consistent lack of cash flow. Despite the overwhelming trials he had to endure, Gardner wins the sole employment position. Will Smith’s 6 consecutive #1 opening, brought in 27 million dollars in its first weekend.

The beauty of love between brother and sister

Ali takes his little sister Zahra’s shoes to the shoemaker to be repaired. After picking up the bread, he goes to the grocer’s to get potatoes. While Ali’s back is turned, a blind garbageman accidentally picks up the shoes and takes them away. Ali tries to find them and knocks over the crates of vegetables. Upon returning home, the landlord was arguing with Ali’s mother because she hadn’t paid the rent for 5 months. She tells Ali to tell Zahra to peel the potatoes after the baby is asleep. Ali tells Zahra about the shoes and begs her not to tell their mother; she agrees. While he is searching for the shoes, the Imam of the mosque asks Ali to take solid sugar to his dad to chop it for the next ceremony. That night, Ali’s father yells at him for not helping his mom fold the carpet when she asked. While the siblings were doing their homework, they passed notes to each other to figure out what to do. They devise a scheme to share Ali’s Converse: Zahra will wear them to school in the morning and hand them off to Ali at midday so he can attend afternoon classes.

Singapore version of Children of Heaven

In 1965, two poor Singaporean children, Chew Kiat Kun and his younger sister Seow Fang live with their mother who is late in her third pregnancy and their father who is in debt to a local rice merchant. The children make the best of what little they have, while their father works long hours doing odd jobs. The family’s problems are compounded when Kiat Kun accidentally loses Seow Fang’s only pair of shoes after taking them to be repaired. The children conduct a frantic search but find nothing; a karung guni man had claimed the shoes as unwanted rubbish. The Chew siblings are frustrated by the situation until their father inspires Kiat Kun to share his shoes with his sister, trading off between classes so they can both attend school. Unfortunately, this plan brings additional problems: Seow Fang is chastised for wearing oversized shoes to school, while Kiat Kun is repeatedly late as he must wait for his sister to exchange shoes with him.

Kwong (Andy Lau) is a young boy who lives with his father and stepmother (Karen Mok). He blames his stepmother for the suicide of his mother 3 years earlier and continually runs away from home. One day, while walking to school, he meets an eccentric old man in the park who accidentally pours a magic potion he has created down a drain. The next day, a huge tree has grown from a seedling in the drain. Kwong goes to the man’s house and steals the potion, falling and breaking it as he tries to run away. Some of the potion enters a cut in his hand, and the next day he wakes up to find he has grown to the age of 20 overnight. Kwong is thrilled that he has become an adult and is able to finally run away from home without being recognized. As he gets older each day, he learns more about being an adult and about the situations of those around him.

Captain Caleb Holt is a firefighter in Albany, Georgia who holds the motto “Never leave your partner behind, especially in a fire“. Meanwhile his relationship with his wife Catherine suffers to the point that she wants a divorce. Caleb and Catherine both complain to their respective friends about how it is the other one’s fault that their relationship is deteriorating. Among Catherine’s complaints are Caleb’s addiction to internet pornography and a large sum of money ($24,000) he has saved up for a fishing boat he intends to buy, ignoring the fact that Catherine’s disabled mother is in need of hospital equipment that she cannot afford, and which their insurance would not cover. When Caleb tells his father, John, about the impending divorce, John challenges Caleb to commit to a 40-day test which he calls the “Love Dare”, which Caleb agrees to try.

The film tells the true story of Hunter “Patch” Adams, a medical doctor who became famous for his unconventional approach to medicine. After a suicide attempt following the death of his father, Adams seeks psychiatric help and is institutionalized. During this time he is inspired to become a medical doctor, and discovers that he is able to forget his own problems by helping others. Two years later, he enrolls at Virginia Medical University (a fictitious school shot at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus) and he is the oldest first year student. He questions the school’s approach to medical care, and clashes with the school’s Dean Walcott because of his belief in the necessity of personal interaction with patients. Because of this and other incidents, including a prank during a medical conference, he is dismissed from the school, although he is later reinstated.

It’s the story of a funny and carefree Jewish man who uses his comic talent to protect his son from the realities of Nazi occupation. The story set in World War 2. Guido, Uncle Eliseo, and Giosue’ are taken to a concentration camp on Giosue’s birthday. Dora demands to join her family and is permitted to do so. When Dora boards the train she is the only one wearing red, as everyone else is wearing dark coloured clothes. Guido hides Giosue’ from the Nazi guards and sneaks him food. Uncle Eliseo is gassed, though the others do not know. In an attempt to keep up Giosue’s spirits, Guido convinces him that the camp is just a game, in which the first person to get 1,000 points wins a tank. He tells him that if he cries, complains that he wants his mother or complains that he is hungry, he will lose points, while quiet boys who hide from the camp guards earn 1,000 points. To further prove that the camp is a game he pretends to translate the guard’s instructions.

Cinderella Man

Inspiring story from legend of a boxer named James Braddock -> from hero to zero and back again to hero

James J. Braddock is a hard-nosed, Irish-American boxer from New Jersey, formerly a light heavyweight contender, who is forced to give up boxing after breaking his hand in the ring. This is a relief and an upset to his wife, Mae, who cannot bring herself to watch the violence of his chosen profession, and yet knows without him boxing they’ll have no good income. As the United States enters the Great Depression, Braddock does manual labor to support his family even after badly breaking his hand. Unfortunately, he can not get work every day. Thanks to a last-minute cancellation by another boxer, Braddock’s longtime manager Joe Gould offers him a chance to fill in for just this one night and make a little money. The fight is against the number two contender in the world and Braddock is seen as little more than a convenient punching bag. Braddock stuns the boxing experts and fans with a third-round knockout of his formidable opponent. He believes that because his hand is now healed, he is fit to fight. Against his wife’s wishes, Braddock takes up Gould’s offer to return to the ring.

The story of a man with a low IQ who rose above his challenges, and proved that determination, courage, and love are more important than intellectual ability. This movie that is based on a novel by the same name. Despite having leg braces as a child and his obvious mental incapacities, Forrest’s mother assures him that “life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get”. With that advice, Forrest goes on to win the Congressional Medal of Honor, become a world famous ping-pong champion, own of a highly successful shrimp fishing company, and run across the country in three years; all of this with a seemingly ignorant awareness to the importance of his accomplishments. The movie also touches on the quandary of whether the events in life are because of predetermined fate or if all of life is a series of unplanned occurrences.

Julie and her boyfriend, Nick, are celebrating Julie’s 24th birthday with their friends Trevor and Amanda . Julie and Nick start to discuss their future when Nick is called in to work, urgently. He has to go to the meeting because he is up against co-worker Dave for a promotion. As the four friends drive back to the city there’s an accident with a semi-truck. Of the four friends, Nick is the only survivor. Later, when looking at a photograph of himself and Julie, everything in the room begins to shudder and shake, while the people in the photograph begin moving. One year later, Nick suffers a blinding headache and nosebleed at work, while presenting an important sales pitch to investors. As a result he is given a week’s suspension. Back home, Nick looks at photographs from Julie’s birthday and somehow manages to transport himself back to the moment just before the fatal accident. This time, he knows how to avoid the accident and he awakens in a new timeline where Julie is living happily with him. However, in this reality, Nick’s life is ruined when he is fired for backing up his friend and now work colleague Trevor.

Inspiring movie about Jamaica team effort to compete in Winter Olimpic

Irving “Irv” Blitzer is an American bobsled double gold medalist at the 1968 Winter Olympics, who finished first in two events again in 1972 but was disqualified for cheating and retired in disgrace to Jamaica, where he leads a destitute life as a bookie. He is approached by top 100m runner Derice Bannock, who failed to qualify for the 1988 Summer Olympics when another opponent, Junior Bevil, tripped at the trials, and pushcart driving champion Sanka Coffie, who both wish to use his previous experience as a coach in order to compete in the 1988 Winter Olympics as bobsledders. Irv had been good friends with Derice’s father, Ben, a former sprinter whom Irv had tried to recruit for the bobsled team years ago. Yul Brenner, another runner who was tripped at the qualifier by Junior, also joins the team, as well as Junior himself. After Irv is convinced to coach the team, the three months of practice begins, initially resulting in embarrassment. However, the four men acclimate to the sport and travel to Calgary and the Olympics.

Based on a true story, Robert Deniro and Cuba Gooding Jr. pair up for inspirational story of Master Chief Petty Officer Carl Brashear (Gooding Jr.) and Master Chief Leslie William “Billy” Sunday (Deniro) In the movie Men of Honor. Carl Brashear is a man trying to become the first African American Navy diver. Throughout the movie he faces opposition from those who don’t want him to succeed, including Sunday. With only a 7th grade education, Brashear is driven to become the first African American Navy Diver. With a fantastic and moving closing scene, Men of Honor delivers the message that no matter the obstacle, success is possible.

Anna Coleman is a common teenager who constantly rebels against her stodgy mother Tess and annoying younger brother Harry. Sources of irritation include a rock band Anna’s in, which her mother dislikes, and Tess’s upcoming wedding to a man named Ryan, which Anna is emotionally not ready for because her father died three years ago. Also contributing to Anna’s irritation is her enemy, Stacey Hinkhouse, the “insane psycho freak” who never seems to stop torturing her and has convinced Tess that she and Anna are still best friends (they used to be friends many years ago), and Anna’s English teacher, Mr. Bates, who gives her an F on every assignment, no matter how hard she tries. Her love interest is Jake. When the family, along with Ryan and Anna’s grandfather, eat out in a Chinese restaurant, Anna and Tess quickly start into a fight again: Anna wishes to participate with the rest of her band in a band audition, however the show is the same night as Tess’s wedding rehearsal. Hearing the argument, an elderly Chinese woman offers Anna and Tess both fortune cookies. Upon opening them, there is a short earthquake which only they feel. The next day, Tess wakes up and discovers that she is in Anna’s body. Likewise, Anna is in her mother’s body.

In 1971, at the old desegregated T. C. Williams High School, Herman Boone, is hired as head coach for the school’s new football team, taking the place of well-liked current Coach Bill Yoast. Yoast at first refuses Boone’s offer as the assistant head coach, but then changes his mind after his white players pledge to boycott if he doesn’t coach. Not wanting the boys to throw away their chances at scholarships, Yoast takes up position of second assistant coach after much convincing. The black and white members of the football team clash in racially-motivated conflicts on a few occasions while at football camp, but after forceful coaxing and team building efforts by Coach Boone, the team achieves both harmony and success.

This film tell a story of Bill Murray, a self-consumed, hyper-cynical, and arrogant weatherman that want to cover about Groundhog Day event in Punxsutawney. On the groundhog day, he finally found that he repeating the same day again, again, and again. Because have to face the same day everyday, Bill squeezes all the available juice out of every scene. Without forcing the issue, he makes us understand why this fly-away personality responds so intensely to the radiant sanity of the Rita (Andie MacDowell), the TV producer. After indulging in hedonism and numerous suicide attempts, he begins to re-examine his life and priorities.
